John Houck

Our lead designer, John Houck, has designed more disc golf courses than anyone working today. What sets him apart is not the quantity of his work, but the quality. Players recognize his name and make an extra effort to visit his courses. John’s signature in the disc golf industry is the innovation and creativity that he brings to each course that he designs. The PDGA, Professional Disc Golf Association, chose John Houck to be head designer at the prestigious new International Disc Golf Center in Augusta, GA.

From neighborhood parks to major multi-course facilities, John has been a leader in disc golf course design. His series of articles on the subject have helped educate hundreds of aspiring designers. John’s love for disc sports show in every course he works on. If he’s working on your project, he won’t leave until he’s convinced he’s created the best course possible on your property.

At the end of 2012 & 2013, the top 2 courses in the world, out of over 5,200 courses, that were ranked and reviewed by players, were designed by John at Selah Ranch, Talco, Texas.
